Post-fire Cards

Living our brand promise “help in the moments that matter”, Westpac created a little ‘thank you’ for the staff who helped customers through Australia’s worst-ever bushfire season - an innovative take on the humble post card.

Working with local artists, we created portraits of the devastating impact of the bushfires on some of our most beautiful tourist destinations.

The Post-fire Cards were affixed with an innovative credit card, Geo-locked to the destination featured on the card, and loaded with enough money to encourage our staff to spend a holiday in that region - as they could only be spent there.

When the credit card was removed, it revealed a beautifully rehabilitated landscape that would one day return (a metaphor for the local economies), in part thanks to the return of tourism and the money that was spent there.
