Not good enough at any sport to turn pro and too terrified of clowns to join the circus, Tommy kicked off his adland adventures as an Art Director in 2009.
Since then he's carved out a career creating cross-disciplinary, out-of-the-box, ultra-hyphenated, award-winning creative work as well as having a knack for spotting emerging creative talent in the industry.
In the year that he joined DDB Sydney his ‘Polo UnFail’ and ‘Too Powerful for TV’ campaigns helped propel the agency to the Campaign Brief Agency of the Year title for the first time in over a decade. During the same period, he was ranked #1 Australian Creative according to BestAds.
Tommy’s work has been awarded across multiple clients and disciplines, at every major international award show throughout his career. Recent examples being the D&AD, One Show and Cannes Gold Lion winning Foxtel ‘Grave of Thrones’ and Volkswagen 'GTI Hijack' campaigns, that helped place him in the Top 100 Creatives in the world, according to The Drum.
Over the course of his career, Tommy has worked on some of the world's most recognisable brands including Volkswagen, McDonald's, Qantas, Heineken, Netflix, NRMA, Westpac among others.
Tommy has also judged the AWARD Awards and is a regular AWARD School juror, mentor and portfolio night panelist.
Away from work, Tommy can usually be found being drawn and drooled on by his two young boys.
Tommy is currently Group Creative Director at Leo Burnett Australia.
