Work    About   Awards

Not quite athletic enough for pro sports and far too scared of clowns for the circus life, Tommy found his true calling in advertising, starting as an Art Director in 2009. Since then, Tommy’s built a career crafting cross-disciplinary, out-of-the-box (often out-of-left-field), award-winning creative work that works.

When Tommy joined DDB Sydney, his “Polo UnFail” and “Too Powerful for TV” campaigns didn’t just make waves—they made titles. They helped the agency clinch the Campaign Brief Agency of the Year Award for the first time in over a decade, and Tommy was crowned #1 Australian Creative by BestAds, a title he holds up there with his 2007 AA3 Football Players’ Player honours.

Tommy’s creativity has earned accolades at every major international award show, including D&AD, One Show, and Cannes Lions. Campaigns such as Foxtel/HBO’s “Grave of Thrones” and Volkswagen’s “GTI Hijack,” cemented his spot in The Drum’s Top 100 Creatives worldwide.

Over the years, Tommy has partnered with some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Volkswagen, McDonald’s, Diageo, Qantas, Heineken, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Westpac. If it’s a campaign that made you think, laugh, or ‘fang’ a ute up a mountainside towards an avalanche of boulders, odds are Tommy had a hand in it.

Beyond the day-to-day, Tommy has lent his expertise as a judge for the multiple award shows, a mentor for AWARD School, and This Way Up Festival presenter. Basically, anywhere creative minds gather—probably with coffee in hand and a wry smile on his face.

When he’s not busy creating or mentoring, Tommy fully embraces “Dad Mode”, serving as both a human canvas and a jungle gym for his two young, ‘energetic’ boys.

Currently, Tommy serves as the Executive Creative Director at Leo Australia.
